Official financial reference data from Cambodia’s central bank and domestic markets. The flagship dataset is the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) daily exchange rate, which publishes bid, ask, and average quotes for major currencies against the Cambodian Riel (KHR). Each quote currency carries a unit multiplier (1 or 100) exactly as NBC publishes it, and re-pulls upsert the existing row so the latest snapshot always reflects the most recent NBC publication. Snapshots are stored as one row per (source, base currency, observed date) with a JSONB rates map, and the public API exposes latest, by-date, history, and date-bounds endpoints. Gold price tracking is also planned for this category, with a storage schema and internal read API already in place.

Are these the rates I would get at a bank or money changer?
No. These are NBC reference rates (bid/ask/average), not transactional rates from commercial banks or street money changers. Banks and changers typically apply their own spread on top of the NBC reference.
How far back does the historical data go?
History depth depends on when pulls began for a given source. The API exposes a date-bounds endpoint so you can query the earliest and latest available dates before requesting a range.
What currencies are covered?
Major currencies published by NBC, including USD, EUR, CNY, THB, GBP, and JPY. Each currency includes a unit multiplier (1 or 100) as NBC publishes it — for example, JPY quotes use a unit of 100.
